Introduction
Welcome to a tutorial on using the water lock feature on an Apple Watch! If you enable water lock when you are in water, it disables the touchscreen to avoid accidental inputs. You can enable water lock when recording an activity, or from the main control panel of the Apple Watch.
When Water Lock is on, your Apple Watch Series 2 or later won’t respond to touch on its display screen. This prevents accidental inputs when you’re in the water. When you turn off Water Lock, your watch ejects/dispels any remaining water from within its speakers.
When you deactivate the water lock, it will eject any water that got inside it by vibrating the speakers.
Steps To Use Water Lock & Dispel Water On Apple Watch:
• To enable water lock, swipe up from the bottom of the watch to access your control center.
• In the control center, tap the water droplet icon to enable water lock. You will know that it’s active when you see the icon at the top of your watch. From this point, the touchscreen of the watch won’t work again until you disable water lock mode.
• To disable water lock and dispel water from your device you need to rotate the digital crown until it says unlocked, it will then eject any water from the speaker and you’ll be able to use the touch screen again.
• You can aslo enable water lock when in an activity by swiping to the left to the exercise controls page and tapping the water lock icon from there.
